"A healthy workplace will bring employers and employees improved productivity, lower rates of sickness absence and less illness”.

(NHS White Paper)

The aim of reflexology is to “create homeostasis, which means that the organs in the body are all working together and at their best.”
(Bickerton 2014)

Whatever the size of your business, it makes sense to look after your biggest asset …..your employees

Approximately 360 million working days are lost annually in the UK at a cost of £8 billion, and over half of these absences are ‘stress related’.  Work related stress is the largest occupational health problem in the UK today. Excessive stress, especially long term, can have a detrimental impact on health, causing physical, emotional, behavioural and cognitive problems. It is believed that up to 75 % of illnesses are caused by stress.

How can reflexology benefit your company?

Regular reflexology treatments not only help to reduce stress and tension but can also speed recovery from a wide range of acute and chronic illnesses.

Some of the benefits to your company can include:

  • Reduced sickness and absenteeism
  • Pain relief for stress related conditions, such as headaches and migraine
  • Relief for neck, shoulder and back problems
  • Enhanced concentration, efficiency and accuracy
  • Increased performance and productivity
  • The ability of staff to cope more effectively under pressure
  • Positive effects on morale amongst employees

Reflexology in the workplace can be arranged on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis on days and times to suit your company. Treatments can range from 20 – 60 minutes. All you will need to provide is a quiet room where the reflexology can be carried out, equipment for the treatment will be provided by our reflexologist.

For several years, many companies across Europe have been using ‘Reflexology in the workplace’ with amazing results:

Study 1)

In a small study in Denmark at a town council, it was found that in the six months of employing a reflexologist the sickness and absence level dropped on average by three days per person compared to the two prior periods of 6 months, from an average of 9 days to 5.2 days. At the same time, they also reported increased satisfaction in their jobs, increased well-being and increased work effort.

Study 2)

SAS Cargo estimated a financial saving of £2,000 a month when employees were receiving reflexology.

Study 3)

Fonss and Hove, solicitors in Kolding, found that employees receiving treatment showed greater motivation and enhanced working ability. After a four year programme the need for treatments decreased because of minimal sickness and absenteeism.
